Theresa Allison Photography is a portrait studio founded by Theresa Allison. Theresa has always been a creative and detail oriented driven person. Her first profession out of college was as an orthodontic assistant (for over 20 years) taught her the slightest adjustment to a detail can make a monumental difference. During this time, Theresa continued her love of painting and photography on the side as her creative outlet. Many of her pieces were commissioned by local restaurants, clubs, and individuals. While many think she is a great painter, she always found herself drawn back to photography.

 

       With an enormous passion for capturing moments that won’t fade, she embarked on the journey of opening her own photography studio. When asked, Theresa enthusiastically recounts the first camera she received, and how the process of producing images was much harder then. Not having a digital camera made it almost impossible to know if she captured the ideal image she was striving for; having to wait for the image to be developed taught her invaluable skills in photography composition, lighting, and design.

 

       Now, in the digital age, Theresa enjoys being able to see the photographs instantly because it ensures she has captured the image and effect she is striving for and her client will cherish. With digital photography, she is also able to make small edits that add to the essence of the portrait through editing programs. This has helped Theresa grow as a photographer and creator! Maintaining the integrity of the photograph and client is one of Theresa’s main goals, as well as providing her clients with a legacy image, one they and their loved ones will be glad they own.
